Sean Misfeldt, B.A. CMA.

Sean Misfeldt, CPA, CMA

 

Sean is the owner of Misfeldt Accounting since it’s inception in 2010.

Sean has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and a college diploma in Financial Management from B.C. Institute of Technology. He obtained his Certified Management Accounting designation in 1997. He has extensive experience as a professional accountant and has worked in various senior roles at Weldwood (now West Fraser), Jim Pattison Group and FortisBC. He also has consulting experience locally and internationally (clients include University of California, Coca Cola Bottling and Gilead Pharmaceuticals) and is available for temporary consulting work.

Sean can help clients with all of their diverse accounting and tax issues. But, he also enjoys helping business clients grow and prosper through business coaching, goal setting, variance analysis and ongoing review of financial drivers of a business.

Sean is active in the community and is currently a member of the Kelowna Sunrise Rotary Club and the Okanagan Business Referral Group #3.

Christina Gilbert, Accounting Technician

Christina Gilbert, Accounting Technician

Christina has been a key part of Misfeldt Accounting since 2010 and has over 20 years of experience in the industry.

Christina’s current role in the company is to prepare corporate and personal tax returns for our clients. She has completed about 5,000 personal tax returns during her career and she is excellent at saving our clients tax dollars with her eye for detail and extensive accounting experience. Christina can help clients with almost any tax issue that you may have.

Christina has a great deal of knowledge in the area of bookkeeping as well. In fact, she has been a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor since 2005. She also has bookkeeping experience using other software such as Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) and QuickBooks Online.

Bea Desbiens, Office Manager

Bea Desbiens, Office Manager

 

Bea joined our team in January 2012. She brings with her over 20 years of part time bookkeeping experience and 5 years of full time bookkeeping experience. She has eight plus years of experience working for a Pattison Group Company in the Okanagan, specializing in accounts receivable, inventories and analyzing large amounts of data.

She is the primary contact for our bookkeeping and payroll services. She makes sure that deadlines are met and that the work is completed accurately. Working with people and numbers is her passion and she can’t wait to help you with your bookkeeping or payroll requirements.


Chelsea Jones, BBA

 

Chelsea Jones, BBA Chelsea is the newest addition to our team as a bookkeeper/accounting technician. She graduated in 2014 with her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree specializing in Accounting. She has just over two years of experience working in the accounting field. In addition, she has two years of experience working with customers as a customer service representative.

She comes to us from a large public accounting company and has gained a large amount of knowledge and experience from working with different companies, from small start-up businesses to large franchise companies. Chelsea also has financial related experience from working in the banking industry for two years.

Chelsea is successful at government filings for GST, PST, WCB, payroll as well as regular bookkeeping. She has experience with Quickbooks and Simply Accounting (Sage). Chelsea ensures that deadlines are met when working with her clients.

Chelsea’s long term plan is to obtain a CPA designation.


Sue Storey, BBA

 

Sue joined our team in July 2016, her focus is advanced bookkeeping; specializing in the payroll function. She is a strong asset to the administrative team and client relations.

Sue discovered her passion for accounting while she was living in London, England. She first started her studies with the International Correspondence School. After moving back to Canada, she completed her studies with Okanagan College.

Sue graduated from Okanagan College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an accounting major. She filled a two year co-op position at a public practice office in Kelowna. Sue then moved into the private sector where she obtained eight years of experience with full cycle accounting in the construction industry. She also has experience in small business management and customer relations.
